Startup Conference Lagos 2016
StartUpPlus prepares to accelerate over one hundred startup ideas across various sectors at this year’s Startup Conference in Lagos, Nigeria.
StartUpPlus, a startup accelerator headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria convenes Startup Conference annually to power startups with practical strategies in relevant subjects. But this year’s conference comes in the wake of a deepening economic recession across the world. Africa has witnessed an eruption in the evolution of startups over the last two years with Nigeria more than doubling in the number of SMEs from 17 million in November 2014 to 37 million in December 2015; a witness to the huge need for funding ideas.
Startup Conference Lagos 2016 themed, Cashflow 2.0 – funding ideas, is intended to teach entrepreneurs how to build “fundable” startups and how to find funding for their ideas through creative funding options. The Executive Director, Adeleke David Adekunle, hinted that “Startup Conference seeks to impart participants with fundamental principles for getting their ideas funded without risking energy loss and the trademark “hypertension” that accompanies bank loans.”
In its third edition, Startup Conference will play host to powerhouse panelists including Oladipo Dinyo (Arch Koncepts Group), Gbenga Sesan (Paradigm Initiative Nigeria, PIN), Kola Oyeneyin (Venia Hub), Fisayo Okunsanya (6334 Business Group), Femi Ariyo (Freesia Networks), Bunmi Jembola (Venture Nest), and Abimbola Adebakin (Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Foundation) offering a robust resource base to startups in diverse industries including real estate, FMCG, oil and gas, education, agriculture, health, tech and nonprofit.

Josh2Funny’s Album Has Fans Talking — But Should He Stick To Music Or Skits? 😂🎶
Nigerian comedian and content creator Josh2Funny has taken his comedy game into music, and Nigerians are definitely having something to say about it.
The comedian released his 15-track album, “On Behalf of Josh,” on July 10, 2026, but instead of fading away after release, the project has continued to generate conversations on X.
And the big question now is:
Should Josh2Funny continue with music or go back to skits? 😂
Fans have been divided. While some listeners openly criticized the album and told him to return to comedy, others found songs they genuinely enjoyed.
One X user joked:
“Josh2Funny stopped doing skits and started music, Everybody wan chop this music money 😂”
Another simply said:
“This Josh2Funny Album no enter make he just go back skit abeg 😂”
But then came “Lembe.” 🔥

One fan even called it their favourite song from the album, while praising the collaboration. The post itself pulled thousands of views, showing that people weren’t only talking about Lembe.
