Techway Africa Celebrates Milestone with Graduation of New Tech Professionals Across Africa
Techway Africa, the fast-rising force in Africa’s digital skills revolution, has reached a significant milestone with the graduation of 350 new tech professionals from its latest cohort. This achievement brings the total number of individuals trained by the organization to over 2,500 in less than two years—an impressive testament to its commitment to upskilling Africa’s next generation of digital talent.
The pan-African graduation ceremony, held virtually and in local hubs across cities in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa, featured keynote addresses from tech industry leaders, alumni success stories, and panel discussions on the future of work in Africa. The 350 graduates come from diverse backgrounds, having completed training in high-demand fields such as Product Management, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, UI/UX Design, and Digital Marketing.
“This isn’t just a celebration of numbers,” said Oyinkansola Osifalujo, founder of Techway Africa. “It’s a celebration of lives transformed, barriers broken, and a bold statement that Africa is rising—one skilled youth at a time.”
Beyond the numbers are the powerful stories of transformation and triumph. Graduates of the program shared glowing testimonials about their experiences:
“Before Techway Africa, I didn’t think someone like me—without a computer science degree—could work in tech. But today, I’ve landed my first role as a Junior Product Manager at a fintech company in Nairobi.”
— Miriam K., Kenya
“The mentorship and hands-on projects made all the difference. I went from being unemployed for over a year to becoming a freelance data analyst working with clients in the UK.”
— Samuel A., Nigeria
“What stood out for me was the community. I met peers from across Africa, and we still collaborate even after graduation. Techway didn’t just teach me skills—they gave me a network.”
— Lebo M., South Africa
“As a mother of two trying to switch careers, Techway Africa gave me flexibility and belief. I now work remotely as a UI/UX designer and finally feel financially independent.”
— Fatou D., Senegal
Founded in 2023, Techway Africa has quickly become a beacon for digital education on the continent, delivering intensive, market-relevant training programs that combine theoretical learning, hands-on projects, mentorship, and job readiness support.
With over 65% of its alumni now employed in tech roles across Africa, Europe, and North America—and several launching startups of their own the organization is helping to close the skills gap and unlock the continent’s untapped human potential.
This latest cohort included learners from 12 African countries, a reflection of Techway’s growing footprint and its mission to democratize access to tech education which was made possible based on the partnership secured with organisations like the Vibranium Valley Foundation and other leading technology giants like Binance
“We’re not just building coders or analysts; we’re building Africa’s tech leaders,” said Osifalujo. “And this is only the beginning.”
