20,000 YOUTHS TO BE EMPOWERED BY NAIRAXI AS IT TARGETS $2BN DOLLAR ANNUAL REVENUE FOR NIGERIA ECONOMY

An indigenous mobile transport and logistics “on-demand” Software company” called NAIRAXI has commenced the empowerment of 20,000 youths in Nigeria with a visionary financial projection of $2bn dollars annually to support the nation’s economy. This was announced during a training and workshop conference, witnessing the participation and presence of partner organisations including the federal Road Safety Corps-FRSC, newly signed up Drivers and key stakeholders in the transport and “on demand” industry.

The Conference/training workshop was held on the 26th of December in the Federal Capital Territory and was themed “On-demand Mobility Service in a Vehicle for Sustainable Development in Nigeria,” for NAIRAXI Drivers in Abuja. Unlike other mobile transportation brands in Nigeria, like Uber from US
and Bolt from Europe, Nairaxi is an indigenous brand, with a visionary mission to empower youths and improve the country’s economy by providing on-demand mobility and electronic commerce to make mobility of goods and services safe, accessible, convenient, affordable, and sustainable through the use of Nairaxi smart technology.

Speaking during the Conference, NAIRAXI Co-founder/CEO Kingsley Eze said that the company targets to empower 5000 youths in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as potential car-owners and employ over 20,000 persons mostly youths in the country. According to him, NAIRAXI will change the narrative in the transport sector in Nigeria, and it will save Nigeria over $2bn annually. “We’re targeting 5,000 drivers that will become potential car owners through our first of its kind DRIVE-TO-OWN program when we launch our service in Abuja in the coming weeks.
“Over 2500 drivers have been successfully signed by our start-up company since the start-off in October 2020. On-demand service is currently on the rise and Nairaxi has designed a road map that will make her stand tall in the ever-growing on-demand market. “This serves as an avenue to interact with potential drivers, investors, and relevant stakeholders. We also elucidated the drivers that have indicated an interest in serving their ride-service on-demand to customers about the company’s philosophy, the app, and other incentives,” he said.
According to the CEO, ”Our mobile application official launch is scheduled for 26th of January 2020. He added that NAIRAXI is a hybrid mobile app that combines mobility, electronic commerce, and logistics seamlessly on a single platform. He further stated that a user can request a ride, shop for anything everything, and send, receive, track parcels on the app. He says, “Just imagine having Amazon, Uber, and FedEx combined in one single value chain specially adapted for the Nigerian $1.6 billion market ecosystem.”
Also speaking during the conference and workshop for newly signed up Nairaxi Drivers, Elizabeth Omale, a Co-founder and CFO of the company said NAIRAXI is a Nigerian brand of Uber and will take over the e-commerce and logistic business. The key speaker at the workshop, Lucy Mhii, Deputy Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FIRS) cautioned the drivers against over speed, as she urged them to adhere strictly to driving rules, avoid taking alcohol before or while driving, and to respect other drivers as well as other road users.
