GLOxTheVillageHeadmaster Episode 35 … The Prodigal Chief
On this week’s episode of the Globacom-sponsored drama series, The Village Headmaster, the acting Kabiyesi takes his tyranny to an entirely new level by bringing back to the village, the prodigal chief.

It appears that Iyalode’s plans to prevent chaos among the women in Oja Village and to curb the excesses of the acting Kabiyesi, Chief Dagbolu, may have hit a brick wall. All other plans she had with Councillor Kogberegbe may have been halted abruptly the moment Chief Fadele got wind of them. In an attempt to prevent Iyalode and the other Chiefs from voting him out of power, Chief Dagbolu welcomed him back and pardoned an offender to the crown and the people. This he believed would even out the odds during the voting process. This action heightened the panic among the chiefs and they decided it was time to notify Kabiyesi of the happenings in the Village. It’s a wonder what other surprises Chief Dagbolu has in store for the village. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how the Kabiyesi will respond to the changes Chief Dagbolu has made to all his edicts and policies while he was away.
Love is in the air and to celebrate the season, the Headmaster is organising a Valentine Fiesta for the school and the village. The people of Oja are excited and getting ready for it, especially Udoh and his girlfriend, Angie Baby. As the party day approaches, Udoh devises a means to ensure that he is free from his responsibilities at Mazi Chinedu’s shop and can attend the party with Angie Baby. His master plan involves lying to Mazi Chinedu, claiming that his grandmother was seriously sick and has requested his presence at her bedside. Will Mazi Chinedu fall for Udoh’s lies and allow him to travel? Udoh seems to have had a run of bad luck with Mazi Chinedu lately. Will Mazi Chinedu discover his lies before the party time or catch up to him at the party?

Following her dad’s and the Headmaster’s support, Teacher Ese decided to seek one more opinion, that of Doctor Kunle. While she discussed with Doctor Kunle, Prince Adeniyi, who had earlier been informed by Lakunle of Teacher Ese’s intentions to compete at the pageantry, walked up to the two of them and expressed his disappointment with their line of conversation. Prince Adeniyi believed that queens were not meant to be a part of beauty pageants and as such Teacher Ese, whom he regards as his future wife, should not join in the event. But it seems like he went too far and said too much for Teacher Ese to just ignore and she took it upon herself to clear the air about their so-called relationship. Will this outburst from Teacher Ese put an end to the Prince’s fanciful dreams of marrying her? And how will the prince’s opinion affect Teacher Ese’s decision about competing in the pageantry? We would just have to wait and see…
