Arik Air Passenger Caught Stealing During Flight

According to pmnewsnigeria,A Nigerian passenger travelling on Business Class from Abuja to the Southeastern state of Enugu aboard Arik Air ‎has been caught stealing from another passenger during flight.

The suspect, Mbah Mike, was caught on 28 November and handed over to security operatives at the airport, said a source close to Arik Air.

“On November 28, 2014, a passenger on board Arik Air flight W3 410 from Abuja to Enugu was caught meddling with the bag of another passenger during flight.

“The passenger left his seat on 3C and moved to overhead locker on seat number 1 D/F, opened the locker and was meddling with a bag. It was found that the bag belonged to another business class passenger. His own two bags were in the locker over his seat on 3C.

“The passenger who had his name on the boarding pax as MBAH MIKE was handed over the Security Agents at the Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu on arrival of the flight for interrogation,” the source said.

Mbah, who speak good English, refused to make written statements.

“The passenger whose bag he was seen meddling with informed that his money was still intact but two other passengers reported that their money was missing.”

The case was transferred to Airport Police Command, Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu station.

“During interrogations, it was found that Mbah Mike (might not be the real name) of the suspect, as he could not give any information about the company whose identity card he holds.

“He said the identity card was forged to enable him board the flight to Enugu as he lost his original identity cards. No document found on him has any name like Mbah Mike.

“Complimentary cards and one other document found on him bears the name NDU WALTER CHUKS (Managing Director, WACHUNDU Oil & Gas services),” the source explained.

He said his oral statement recorded by the police indicates that he has no known home in Nigeria as he shuttles between Congo, Abuja and Lagos supplying assorted wine and spirits to clients.

“He claims he is still seeking for a home, while using his shop in Lagos at the moment as his home. His wife and three kids lives in London according to the source.

“He is still in police custody and is expected to be charged to court in Enugu on January 16, 2015,” the source said.

Bauchi man, 27, allegedly k!lls 13-year-old pregnant girlfriend

A 27-year-old man, Munkaila Ado, has been arrested for the alleged m*rder of one Safiya Danladi, a 13-year-old girl, in Pali community of Alkaleri local government area of Bauchi State.

Until her death, Safiya was carrying a four-month-old pregnancy for Munkaila, who was her boyfriend, Leadership reported.

Munkaila was hellbent on getting the pregnancy aborted afterwhich Safiya was secretly taken to Gombe State for abortion, it was reported.

Munkaila later opted to k!ll his lover after an unsuccessful arrangement to abort the four-month-old pregnancy in the neighbouring Gombe State.

However, a statement by the Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, said: “The suspect (Munkaila) confessed that the missing girl was his girlfriend who was four-month pregnant to the knowledge of her mother but unknown to the father Alhaji Danladi Mohammed.”

The Police spokesperson added that Munkaila conspired with the mother of the 13-year-old girl and another accomplice by name Mu’azu and they “took the victim to Gombe to procure an abortion, thereafter on reaching Gombe the victim was led to one Hajiya Amina Abubakar ‘f’ 50-yr-old house in Jekada Fari behind Specialist Hospital Gombe where the victim was administered with some substances to cause the abortion.”

He said while returning home in Bauchi State, Munkaila and Muazu strangulated Safiya to death. They thereafter burnt the corpse and bury her in a shallow grave.

SP Wakil stated that the duo will be charged to court on two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide as well as violation of human right and dignity of the girl-child.

Nigerian Military arrests Owo Church attackers

The Defence Headquarters said it has arrested the terrorists behind the attack on the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, who made the disclosure during a parley with media executives at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, said the criminals were arrested in collaboration with other security agencies.

Terrorists attacked the Catholic Church during a Sunday Mass and opened fire on the worshippers, resulting in the death of over 30 persons.

The incident happened on June 5.
