Kidace6 Announces New Single “Mercy” – An Afrobeat Exploration of Toxic Relationships
Rising musical artist Kidace6 is set to release his highly anticipated new single, “Mercy,” marking his first venture into the Afrobeats genre. The single will be available on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a music video directed and edited by Kidace6 himself.
“Mercy” emerged from Kidace6‘s first session at Horizon Studios, where creativity and spontaneity blended seamlessly. The song was born from pure vibes until the instrumental was completed. “Mercy” delves into the complexities of a toxic relationship and one-sided love, wrapped in the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats.
Kidace6 shares, “this track shows my ability to be diverse and proves that Afrobeats don’t have to sound one way. No other song on this planet sounds like it.”
The songwriting process for “Mercy” was a familiar yet unique journey for Kidace6. Immersed in the Afrobeats genre, he crafted the song through freestyles, which he then refined and polished. The beat, produced by Swerve with additional contributions from Kidace6, was completed in just two hours. After a month of continuous listening and tweaking, “Mercy” was ready to be unveiled.
“Mercy” is deeply personal for Kidace6, reflecting his feelings of giving his all to people who don’t reciprocate and still feeling inadequate. He explains, “the beauty of music is that you can send a sad message in a happy tone and make people dance to it. I want listeners to see the example portrayed in the song and decide if they want that for themselves while also dancing to it.”
The official release date for “Mercy” is June 21, 2024. The single will be available on all streaming platforms, and the music video will be released on YouTube.
