Osaze Peter Odemwingie has apologised to Kanu Nwankwo, his wife Amara Kanu and their family after making certain accusations.
The former professional footballer had accused his colleague’s wife, Amara Kanu of “chasing” him “relentlessly”, sending him DMs and “harassing” him to respond. He asked why a wife should be sending him DMs directly instead of through her husband and threatened that “destruction is upon her” for sliding into his DM.
He also called out her son for throwing up a particular hand sign.
He has now apologized. In his apology, he shared a screenshot of a message Kanu Nwankwo sent to him a few months ago to wish him well on his birthday.
He explained that their relationship had been OK just a few months ago.
He added that he misunderstood and read meanings into Amara Kanu’s greetings then blamed the media for bringing a “different narrative” to what he said.
He also pointed out that Amara is a “lovely woman”.
However, referring to the hand sign their son displayed in the photo he posted to call the family out, Osaze insisted that, “We can do things innocently and wear cloths with signs and symbols we don’t understand but indirectly representing them.”
Sharing a series of photos and videos talking about religion, moral decadence, and more, he wrote:
