Read more below:

Que – Can you introduce yourself to us?

Ans – My name is Ademola Daniel Adejayan, my stage name is Demola a.k.a DEMOLA THE VIOLINIST. I live in houston in the United States Of America.

Que – When and why did you start playing the Violin?

Ans – I started learning the violin in 2004. My elder brother is a pianist and since we practically grew up and did most things togther, he wanted us botht to play a musical instrument so we can make music together; so he persuaded non-stop to learn the violin and now, I am grateful to him for that.

Que – Do you play any other instrument apart from the violin?

Ans – Yes I do. I play the acoustic guitar and keyboard, percussions also; that is Conga and Djembe.

Que – Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?

Ans – I admire Bruno Mars, 2baba, D’banj, Beyonce, Wizkid, Darey, Timi Dakolo, Kenny G, George Benson, Miri Ben Ari…. The list goes on. Why I admire them – These people work hard every time to make good music and their music remains relevant.

Que – Which famous musicians have you learned from?

Ans – I have learnt from famous musicians without meeting them. All I di is follow up on their music and discipline. All these artistes are people i have learnt from afar of.

Que – What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town?

Ans – The day I and my elder brother performed for a large crowd in the village many years ago. We were on holidays and so, visited our grandparents in the village. I really can’t remember what happened, but a large crowd was outside waiting for I and my bro to perform for them…Lol. We did and it was awesome. I was quite young and I guess I was 5 or 6 years old thereabout , but I remember  the act and scenerio vividly.

Que – Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones?

Ans – Yes I was inspired by Old tracks and I and still  am. Music by Majek Fashek, Sunny Ade, Abba, Bob Marley,Michael Jackson, Lucky dube, Ebenezer obey, Fela, Femi Kuti, Tracy Chapman, Lagbaja etc.

Que – Who are your favorite musicians?

Ans – My favorite musicians alive are so much oooo. 2face, Asa, Dbanj, Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Timi Dakolo, Darey, Mafikizolo, J.cole, M.I , P square and Kendrick Lamar etc.

Que – Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV?

Ans – On a good day, I practice my violin for about 3-4hrs. Then I get in the studio to create new beats, enhance my song writing skills , … Etcc. It’s a lot of work you know. The hours are sometimes not enough because I have to focus on being a complete Musician/artist. I practice everyday.

I practice old and new songs (pop, r&b, hip-hop, reggae etc), scales and exercises on my violin, Jazz and Classical repertoires,  Vocal techniques, etc.

I try hard to balance my music with school, work and other things.

Que – For the first time ever, you recorded a song of your own, an original – SAY YES. Can you tell us what inspired you to write the song?

Ans – Ans – Say Yes wasn’t my first ever recorded song…,lol. I’ve been recording songs since 2007 but never released them. The ones released were with my group back then. We were called ‘Angel’s lane’. So doing a song wasn’t new. However, releasing a song for the first time as a solo act made me a little nervous of the outcome…Lol. ‘Say yes’ was inspired by love. I wanted to write a song that promoted love without S3xualized lyrics. A song that can be played anywhere, a song that a guy could use to propose to the love of his life. A song that everyone no matter the race, religion or culture can connect to. And its produced and recorded in AMERICA.

Que – What’s your relationship status?

Ans – Lol…I am single.

Que – If you had a chance to do a song with any celebrity, who would you love to do it with?
