2014 World Cup winners Germany have won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup following a 1 – 0 win over 2016 Copa Centenario winners Chile.
Chile came blasting out at the beginning of the match as Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez had long range efforts go wide withing the first ten minutes.
Eduardo Vargas had a half volley that was dipping just go over around the 15th minute mark.
Lars Stindl scored in the 25th minute when he capitalized on a poor clearance by Claudio Bravo to slot into an empty net.
The second half was much more intense as Chile became rough and thuggish.
The first bookings of the match went to Joshua Kimmich and Arturo Vidal who clashed after the former fouled Bravo.
Vidal had a shot from inside the box just go over the bar while Alexis Sanchez, duly marked out of the game had a shot blocked by Antonio Rudiger.
