AC Milan have continued their summer spending spree with the £17.5million purchase of Lucas Biglia from Serie A rivals Lazio.
Biglia has joined the San Siro outfit on a three-year contract for an initial £15million, though that fee could potentially rise to £17.5million with add-ons.
The Argentine midfielder posed for a photo with Milan’s general manager Marco Fassone as the club confirmed the signing on Twitter.
Vincenzo Montella’s side have also signed Andre Silva for £35million from Porto, Andrea Conti from Atalanta for £21million and Turkish set piece specialist Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen for £18million.
Their other deals include Mateo Musacchio arriving from Villarreal, Ricardo Rodriguez from Wolfsburg, Franck Kessie from Atalanta and the loan signing of Sunderland striker Fabio Borini.
The purchase of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s elder brother and fellow goalkeeper Antonio from Asteras Tripolis rounds off a busy window so far for Milan.
Lazio are set to replace Biglia with Liverpool’s Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva as they close in on a £5million deal for the 30-year-old.
